Created in response to the growing demand for vehicles that balance sustainability with high performance, the Fusion GT embodies a modern vision of the grand tourer. The design fuses the timeless elegance and performance DNA of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage with the forward-thinking innovation and aerodynamic sophistication of the Porsche 928S4.
More than a design exercise, the Fusion GT represents a shift toward eco-conscious performance, integrating advanced hybrid power technology to deliver an engaging driving experience with a reduced environmental footprint. It stands as a statement of how heritage-inspired design and future-focused engineering can coexist in perfect harmony.
FUSION Hybrid-Powered GT Sports Car - 2024
Using quick ideation sketches as a way to explore the Fusion GT 3D model design was also a fantastic teaching tool for high school students interested in transportation design. The class held in conjunction with GM and the Boys Girls Club of Southeast Michigan explained how to strategically approach these sketches to make the learning experience engaging, instructive, and productive for the students.
Rapid Sketch Techniques

Silhouettes to experiment with overall proportions and stance.
Thumbnail Sketches for testing different design angles, like front, side, and rear views, which help students understand how various perspectives affect the design.

This concept began as a gesture sketch exploring the fusion of two design icons—the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and the Porsche 928S4. The form was developed into a 3D model in Alias AutoStudio, with a work-in-progress render created in Blender to capture its evolving character.
The result is a low, aggressive exterior design that blends classic grand touring proportions with contemporary surface execution. Ongoing development includes exterior color studies, animation, and interior design exploration to complete the Fusion GT vision.
